The Forney Museum of Transportation
This museum focuses on more than just cars, but the entire collection is filled with historic cars and fascinating information about the history of transportation. The Forney Museum is located near Downtown Denver, near the I-70 and I-25 Interchange. Tickets are $11 for adults and $5 for children. This museum is open Monday – Saturday 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. and from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. on Sunday. Learn More
The Shelby American Collection
Located in Boulder, this one-of-a-kind museum was created to specifically celebrate the heritage of the Cobra, Shelby Mustang, and Ford GT 40 cars. Admission is only $5, and the museum is open to the public each Saturday between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. Learn More
Gateway Auto Museum
This one is a bit off the beaten path, but if you ever find yourself in Gateway, Colorado (southwest of Grand Junction, near the Colorado and Utah border) this museum is worthy of a visit. This impressive collection hosts more than 50 cars, including some very rare and limited edition models. The museum is open seven days a week from 10 A.M. – 5 P.M.. Tickets are $15 for adults. Penrose Heritage Museum
Located in Colorado Springs, at the Broadmoor Hotel, this museum honors the historic Pikes Peak International Hill Climb that occurs annually in Colorado Springs. Highlighting the history of America’s second oldest motorsports race, this museum shares the history of the automobile through the years and the role that motorsports had on vehicle development. This museum is free of charge, and is open to the public Monday – Saturday 9 A.M. – 5 P.M. and Sunday from 1 P.M.-5 P.M. Learn More
