8 Must-Have Gadgets For The Quintessential Festival Vehicle

Believe it or not, school is almost out for summer (again!). Luckily, you don’t have to wait for summer to participate in the multitude of festivals and activities in full swing throughout Colorado and beyond!

So, whatever art, food, music, movie, pop culture, or other festivals you have on your calendar for the coming months (or days!), we’ve compiled a list of gadgets to transform your ride into the perfect festival vehicle.

1. The Truck Tent

Some festivals are so good that one day just isn’t enough. For those adventurers who want to camp but aren’t crazy about sleeping on the ground, here’s an alternative – a tent that pops up in the back of your truck! Add a truck air mattress for added comfort, and it will be almost as good as sleeping in your own bed.

2. The Vehicle Awning

Maybe you’re not interested in camping in your vehicle, but want a little shade from Colorado’s persistent rays. A vehicle awning can provide some much-needed relief from the heat. Add some lawn chairs and enjoy a pleasant break in the shade!

3. The Portable Toilet

There’s no way around it… no matter how well a porta potty is maintained, the experience of visiting one becomes increasingly more unpleasant the more “mileage” it obtains. And that’s not to mention the lines! That’s where a portable toilet really comes in handy. Use it in the privacy of your truck bed tent or privacy tent and skip the line and the uninviting porta-potty ambiance!

4. Interior LED Lights

Want your vehicle’s interior to match the colorful vibe of a dynamic music festival? (Or maybe you’ve just dreamed of driving Cash Cab?) These interior lights are a fun way to add a little extra pigment to your ride. Just make sure you don’t let the rainbow lights distract you – keep those eyes on the road!

5. The Portable Trash Can

If your festival requires frequent stops for gas and snacks, plus eating meals in your car, there’s a good chance of the inside of your vehicle turning into a virtual garbage heap. A portable trash can will help to keep the mess (and smell) contained, and many attach easily to the back of your seat or nestled behind the console!

6. The Pet Travel Kit

If you happen to be attending a pet-friendly festival, make sure you pack the essentials for your fuzzy pal! Available pet travel kits can include food and water containers and travel bowls, plus pockets for blankets and favorite toys, leashes, and more. Be sure to check out our previous tips for traveling with pets, as well as safety tips for the heat, especially when it comes to dogs in the car!

7. The Large Cupholder Adapter

When enjoying any Colorado festivities, hydration is key. That being said, you should never let the obstacle of too-small cupholders deter you from carrying your heftiest water receptacles! With a cupholder adapter, you won’t have to forgo your large water bottle to accommodate a smaller container. (However, if small water bottles are more your style, you can always use this adapter to accommodate more snacks!)

8. The Car Gadget Charger

Last but not least, never embark on a road trip without a car charger for your phone or other gadgets! In the event of an emergency, you will never regret a fully-charged battery, plus you don’t want to miss out on the thousands of photo ops that will undoubtedly present themselves in the midst of your adventure.

So, there you have it!

Plan ahead, be careful, have fun, and from all of us at Quick-Set Auto Glass, drive safely out there!
