1. Collegiate Peaks Scenic Overlook | Buena Vista

Looking to peer off over the Arkansas River Valley into a range of mountains that include five fourteeners? Collegiate Peaks Scenic Overlook is never very busy so you can enjoy the view alone and it has plenty of covered picnic areas to enjoy a peaceful lunch.

2. Sapphire Point | Summit County

A popular place for weddings and wedding photos, Sapphire Point is upon Swan Mountain overlooking an incredible ten-mile mountain range and the gorgeous Dillon Reservoir. Bring a chair to take in all the wild life that White River National Forest has to offer.

3. Ouray Overlook | Million Dollar Highway US-550

Sometimes Called the Switzerland of America Lookout Point, Ouray Overlook and the Million Dollar Highway are priceless. The views of soaring mountains separated by beautiful waterfalls continues as you drive along US-550. Be sure to stop and park at the Overlook to take it all in.

4. North Star Mountain | Hoosier Pass

This Overlook may take you on a few mile hike to get the best view North Star Mountain has to offer, but once you are there the views are spectacular! The trail may be covered in snow so you may want to bookmark this location for a month with a little extra sunlight.

5. Garden of the Gods Overlook | Juniper Way Loop Colorado Springs

Always on the top of the lists and visited by over a million people a year is the Garden of the Gods Overlook. From the lookout you can see and take a picture with some of the most popular Sandstone formations in the United States. However, the city park itself is not something to be missed.

6. Red Cliff Overlook | Red Cliff Town & US-24

If you love the outdoors, geology and architecture Red Cliff Overlook should be your first stop. Red Cliff Bridge, a 471-foot-long cantilevered steel arch bridge, is classified as a Historic Place. It stretches across the Eagle River that splits off into the Homestake and Turkey Creeks and is surrounded by Quartzite and Limestone rock.

7. Lookout Mountain | Golden

Lookout Mountain offers you both a perfect city view alongside a variety of flora. Not far from Denver, this is one of the closest and best overlooks to check-out here in Colorado.

8. Independence Pass | Aspen

Be sure to go for a drive on Colorado State Highway 82. It passes over the continental divide between Leadville and Aspen and is the highest paved pass in North America! Due to weather it is currently closed so please do your research before heading off on your adventure.
